These packages are popular for girlfriend get-togethers, sister-mom parties, and for such events as Mom's birthday and anniversary-in-the-workplace or retirement celebrations.

We offer two women's retreat packages at PrairieSide, the Girlfriend Getaway and the Prairie Connections Retreat.  Pampering and good times are at the center of each minute, whichever package you choose.  Whether it is the smorgasbord breakfast you enjoy, the photo time along the nature trail, the casual mini-workshops, or the relaxed evenings of food, conversations, fun, movies, and games, we promise you and your friends will take away new fond memories at the end of each stay.

Girlfriend Getaway Packages may include classes on cooking, scrapbooking, wheatweaving, and gardening--all designed according to your group's interests.

The Prairie Connections Package focuses on women's life on the frontier, and you will take part in mini-workshops on such topics as butter churning, noodle making, aebleskiver cooking, quilting, candle making, or needlework--all activities in which your grandmother or great -grandmother was likely very proficient.

Come stay at PrairieSide in northcentral Kansas and enjoy your time for a little relaxation and fun.  Take home a rejuvenated spirit and a few tips on cooking or the arts.

Family Retreats

If it is hunting, nature trails, lake outings, or country and small town activities that your family enjoys together, PrairieSide Inn provides the perfect getaway for you.  Children can learn of their heritage as they watch cattle or farming activities, share a weekend with their grandparents, or walk the nature trail which winds amongst the rocks, hills, and shaded areas in the adjoining pasture.  In the summertime, the nearby Wilson Lake is a popular daytime spot, and families can return to the PrairieSide Inn for air conditioned comfort, a picnic, a ballgame in the yard, or for an evening hike, bicycle ride, or jog along the country roads.  If children choose to pitch a tent and enjoy a night under the stars, a small tent is available for their enjoyment.

Couple's Weekend

Couple's too enjoy the PrairieSide Inn for a quiet romantic stay in the country.  Grab the picnic basket and stroll to your favorite spot for lunch in the adjoining pasture, or enjoy romantic meals by candlelight in the dining room.  With prior arrangement, we can have that perfect gift ready and waiting for your special someone, whether you would like candy, flowers, a decorated cake, or a gift basket.
